parkway parade's Sony shop has LOUSY service.. i'd reckon they'll close. that spot may haf bad feng shui...

i was dressed in casual blue jeans and bright pink fila tee...

walked in, looked at the displays of earphones, hands full of bags from shopping.. i look around for help.

one guy serving a male customer saw me, but did not make any move to tell me to wait a moment, nor did he smile.. *he was juz standing next to the cus, btw.. not doing anything- in my opinion..

This other guy walks past, i look at him, he saw me, but he carried on.. to the counter to talk to his collegues! i glared at him.. then he came to me, exchanging glances with the first guy i saw... "Sorry" he says.. (sorry for your bad service.. wowz. is that supposed to be good service?) "it's ok." i then told him abt my bad exps with sony, asking if they had a warrenty, or perhaps, these staff, since it's a SONY SHOP afterall, will be able to either feedback, or to show confidence in their stuff... but no, he tells me that there is no warranty, and that, jokingly, there is a 3 day return policy. cos there are cus who receive earphones who don't work right out of the package...

in another shop, i would haf left. but Sony is the top brand in electronics, thou not the best in earphones, but good sound quality.,, and i'm using a Sony discman.. it is ridiculous to be using, e.g a panasonic earphone for a Sony discman? yar.. it juz is.

So, i fished out my Visa Mini Debit (since i'm not allowed to get a credit card yet... under age limit...) and proceeded to go pay for the item.. the guy retrieved the item, then went to the counter.. the male cus whom the first guy was attending to was paying.. "Sorry, wait awhile..", i smiled, "it's ok."

What happened next was extremely interesting.. IF taken in the right manner, i suppose... the guy who served me went to another collegue and talked to him, then that collegue opened another counter.. the guy directed me to the counter, and i passed them my card. they exchanged looks.. i stared. the cashier, as i will now call him since he opened the counter, proceeded to process my transaction. Transaction approved. wowz, amazing feat! - the cashier took a look at the moniter which has the words "transaction approved", even thou the receipt from Visa is alreadi being printed out.. he then tilts the moniter, such that the guy-who-served-me standing next to him can see the wrods "transaction approved". wad comarade! shared joy on profits gained!

the cashier then passes me the receipt to sign.. i sign, with their ink-blotted pen... the cashier takes a careful look at the card's signature, and the signature of the receipt. (anger is brewing somewhere...) i keep my eyes on him. he notices... smiles, passes my receipts to me. we exchanged thankyous, and i went out of the store... to Giant, the supermarket nest door....

I admit, this ain't the first time a cashier takes a close look at my signature. i'm supposd to be glad, i guess, that they take care in comparing signatures.. but, it is infurating. I take pride in my savings, and when i spend my savings, i expect it to be satisfying at least, if not gratifying. As i browsed thru the shelves of cutlery in Giant, i was half-expecting the police to tap my shoulder and request that i produce proof that the debit card is mine, tipped off my the Sony Shop Guys... that would haf been nice too... i will definitely report to the press, and let's all hear the bad, discrimining service of the Sony Shop Guys..... won't that be nice? (calbury choc!)

yesh, it's rock sugar!
thanks pal...
try leavin a name next time.. =)
----------------------------------

juz to make a quick intro: i think Jaden is the person who designed this layout. =) Hi there! thanks for visiting...

-----------------------------------

i've decided to include my shopping exps here.. since i've stopped keeping a blog in which ppl can read my grumbles, i've re-directed my grumbling to here. =)

well, it's all comments on products, fashion and food... my own comments, my own viewpts. heck all the nosense that companies can sue me.. can't a gal haf the right to make a stand?
-----------------------------------

Well.... *ahem. i've a big hole in my pocket. This june's bill will hit a record high..

i'm gona bury or burn my statment after i've checked it's correct, if mom or dad sees it, they'll fly... yesh. tt's how bad it is......

My principle in shopping: Shopping is an experience. it's satisfaction that shoppers go for. If you're not happy at the end of the trip, you've not gone shopping at all. you've gone money spending...

Overview:
1. skin care products- facial and body.
2. food (done next time)
3. fashion (done next time)
----------------------------------

1. Skin care

a friend introed me to the whole of facial products thru an MLM company, Nuskin. first time, i got critized and conered so badly. to think... i thought i was a seasoned shopper... sigh.

first thing in shopping, i've learnt, be confident. Customer = power. whether you're flithy rich, or you juz recieved your small paycheck big enuf to warrant a pamper, it doesn't make a difference. Be confident of your skin.. of your believes. Take me for example: i've always never cared for my skin.. i believe having fun and having not-perfect skin is better than having great skin and not having any fun... how much fun can you get when you're more concerned abt having an umbrella around at all times? well.. i juz ain't the type who is capable enuf to haf fun while carrying an umbrella... anywayz... if you're like me, those sales ppl will hit you where it hurts. They know: tell tale sun spots, tan marks, etc. They go: wow, what haf you been doing?! Oh my god! What happened?! - when nth realli has happened in the first place... n ur face is realli, juz fine.

Skin care products are like supplements, not neccesities.. The basic: clean, tone and moisturize.. (which is often followed by protect) truthfulli, i didn't know there was such a "basic" till recently. till then, i've been relied on juz one skin care product- J & J's cleanser. and i've never received any comments abt me having bad skin till the day i stepped into Nuskin. the bottomline: be comfortable in your own skin. Skin care is luxury. when one is beautiful inside, that's beauty noone can deny. One more tip: no matter how many nutrients go inside a product, read the contents which are almost always in fine print.. When they say "perfume" /"parfum", what you're smellin is chemical sludge- which most products are... i haven't found one which doesn't say that yet..... =(

that said and done, on to Nuskin.

Service: (nasty things first. outta sight, outta mind...)
Since it's an MLM company, service depends on who you get. A rather good friend of mine brought me in... whether it was fun or not, well, the exp was spoilt by her upline. All i wana say is that watch out for biz tactics. i let my guard down bcos of a pre-assumption and conception.

tt's not to say they cheated me. i was a willing party. fair deal- goods and cash. but.. at the end of the day, i was left with an empty, horrible feeling inside.

Goods:
Quality of Nuskin products are definitely there. they spend loads of effort to print reports, and each product is carefully marketed. (the usual in most MLM companies) i'm impressed with their long lists of achievements, such as being the only company whose health supplements are authorized for use by the Olympic committee. And the clever focus on their research seems professional.

I've bought their toner, their cell-growth moisturizer (celltrex ultra recovery fluid), and their face lift mask.

Toner: a realli nice sweet scent. it comes in a blue solution with insoluble minerals which settle as white powder at the bottom of the bottle. shake before use.. it's always interesting to shake the bottle to see the two layers mix.. even when i'm not gona use it... heh. bo liao huh...

Celltrex ultra recovery fluid: supposed to promote cell growth so that the scars on my face heal.. whether or not it realli works, i ain't that sure.. cos i play pretty rough with my dog.. i get scratched, and sometimes even bitten, thou never severely (duh), on the face too. which scars were there before, and which were caused after, i dun keep track.. but this fluid is acualli a realli nice thing to smooth on your face.. lolz. feels good... =)

Face lift: the most ex outta the 3 things i bought. incredibly mafan/ mendo/ troublesome. Add powder, add activator, stir, check consistancy.. apply on face, quick! slap on blotter paper... basically, i make a mess outta it in my bathroom. heartache too.. the powder is ex, so i wana dun any how scatter it all over the place.. but powder is powder wad... sure scatter one... sigh. one of the reasons why i stopped taking chem was bcos i suck at chem lab.. always either forget to add some chemical into the solution, or make a big mess outta my work place...

works? not realli... it does take away some blackheads.. thou i think some are as stubbon as me. it's a lift mask, so as it dries, it pulls and tugs... sometimes it gets alil' too uncomfortable to be ignored. but oh well, all in the name of beauty huh... no.. all in the name of " i spent fuckin lot on this, i better use it..." rather...

i'm currently comparing it to estee lauder's deep thermal refinisher (a sample my mom gave me.) will update results after afew wks.. if i remember. heh. =p

Overall: i dun mind Nuskin products. potential is there.. and there are some good products which i've tried when my friend gave me an intro. Am planning to buy the walnut body scrub, which i realli like..

however, choose the ppl you want to buy from; and choose the ppl you want advise from. dun let others step all across you juz bcos they know more abt skin than you do. there are LOTS of sources out there more than willing to gif you free evaluations of your skin. I juz met up with a relative in China during my recent trip there, she's with Mary Kay (another MLM skincare company). Her office concentrates on "exploring the potentials of your skin", rather than "treat wad's wrong with your skin". it's the same thing, but in a different perspective. Choose...

Other products i'm using:
Estee Lauder's moisture rich foaming cleanser, soft clean: you will not believe the luxurious cream foam of this cleanser is possible. such soft texture to lather onto your face... it encourages you to treat your skin well, gently. rather than the clean, tight feel some cleansers gif you, it leaves you with such a subtle clean rosy feeling which i so like...

Estee's hydra complete; and deep thermal refinisher: haven't realli started using both products enuf to comment.

for body:
Body shop:
Thou not realli professional, the sales ppl are tryin to be helpful. some are juz tryin not to be fired, some are geniuely nice. again, depends on your luck. but what i realli like is that when you tell them that you're juz browsing, they do leave you alone.. in a polite way. they always come back when you're lookin for help.

milk shower cream: my fav product from body shop. it's thearpy for me, every night.. the scent ain't exactly my kinda scent actualli.. alil' too sweet.. the camomille. but well, it grows on gradually.. and it juz relaxes me... when i bought it, i didn't realize that it was more for dry skin.. but oh well, my skin's pretty dry i guess. no harm.. and milk baths reminds me of Cleopatra. =)

olive shower gel: fresh olives. great fragrance, if you ask me.. refreshing shower. compared to others ( e.g mango, which is my fav fruit btw) this has a natural and calming tone to it.. and it ain't sweet.. think i've a prob with sweet scents. they make me think of ants... arghz.

grape seed dry oil mist: i bought this on impluse.. the scent is fresh and subtle. not imposing... light. -tt's wad i like. =) i figured i may need to moisturize my skin more often next time cos i'll b in the aircon longer periods.. dun wan my skin to dry, like when i worked in iras. you feel dehydrated juz being in there manz.... sheesh.

Overall:there are claims that body shop's products are not as good or natural as they proclaim to be. i tend to disagree. i totally love these products which i've bought, and i've yet to be dissatisfied by any of them.. other than that i've found that they use fragrance. lolz.. =p

for hair:
Honei Meal Protrin Hair Remoisturiser: recently started on it, but haf found it to work quite well. i don't fancy the smell of it, even thou they stated that "frangrance" is one of the ingrediants.. but it works good enuf to make up for that.
